Green Team
Green Team is a full-service strategic communications agency located in New York City and Australia. Since 1993, Green Team has worked in three core competencies: social and environmental causes (including global warming), travel and progressive brands. The agency specializes in reaching the Awakening Consumer, an educated, environmentally aware, and economically powerful audience that uses its purchasing power to affect change through the brands it supports. Green Team estimates that there are 49 million Awakening Consumers in the U.S. today, a number that is expanding rapidly.

Right now we are a small group of scientists and volunteers who are trying to help conserve the world’s many threatened coral species. Coral spawn throughout the world in warm summer months. We work on a number of species both in Hawaii and the Caribbean each year, and there are a number of opportunities to join us on our coral projects. Put simply, we swim and carry things (we spend a lot of time setting up our equipment gear; collecting coral eggs, sperm and larvae in the ocean; maintaining them, and then doing experiments).

If you are a strong swimmer, can carry at least thirty lbs. over uneven terrain, and can commit at least seven to ten days, we need you! We work as a team, and everybody shares in the work of every task at some point in time. You will learn a great deal about how coral live and reproduce, and will come away from this experience tired, yet happy and filled with a great sense of purpose.
